Before starting this ritual, place a single white candle and
some Midwinter incense on the altar. Open the ritual using the Basic Ritual opening and proceed as follows:
Ring
the Bell three times and Say:
This is Midwinter, the night of the Winter Solstice,
the longest night of the year. Darkness reigns triumphant, yet gives way and changes into light. Jesus has died and gone
to the Otherworld. Yet He is reborn again when He is risen from the dead.
Put some Midwinter incense on the burner and Say:
All is cold, and I await the coming of dawn. As the
Sun rises, the King rises. In silence and wonder I stand before the sacred cauldron of rebirth, knowing that one day I too
must pass through the cauldron and be reborn. For this I now give honor to God.
Light the white candle for Yeshua and Say:
Lord Jesus, May you plant your seeds of joy and new
beginnings within my life.
Lord Jesus, May you grant me gifts of creative ideas and the strength to bring them to
completion.
Lord Jesus, May you give me wisdom to understand the magikal mysteries.
Hail Lord of Life! I give
You honor and blessings.
Merry Meet and Merry Part and Merry Meet Again!
If using a spell candle for Jesus, allow it to burn itself out.
If using any other type of candle, allow it to burn for at least one hour.
Do any other prayers or spellwork. Close
the ritual using the Basic Ritual closing. It is done.
