Do not use the Basic Ritual opening and closing for this ritual.

Prepare the Altar as follows:

On the Altar have a White candle in a holder and a Black candle in a holder. Have four empty candle holders at the four directions and four candles representing the direction colors lying on the Altar. Cast a circle. Light the White candle and call forth the participant. Say:

We welcome the Croneage Ritual of (Name), who by his/her years of life and service has attained the level we all seek. Witness his/her transformation.

The participant picks up the Green candle, lights it from the White candle and then with the Green candle lights the Black candle and says:

I am full of Life.

He/She puts the Green candle into the holder in the North. He/She picks up the Yellow candle, lights it from the White candle and then joins it's flame with that of the Black candle and says:

I am full of Wisdom.

He/She puts the Yellow candle into the holder in the East. He/She picks up the Red candle, lights it from the White candle, and then joins it's flame with that of the Black candle and says:

I am full of Power.

He/She puts the Red candle into the holder in the South. He/She picks up the Blue candle, lights it from the White candle, and then joins it's flame with that of the Black candle and says:

I am full of Strength.

He/She puts the Blue candle into the holder in the West. He/She lifts the Black candle in its holder and faces the people. He/She says:

I am Crone!

All of the people say:

When the people say "You are Crone!", the participant blows out the Black Candle and returns it to the Altar. He/She then blows out the remaining candles in the reverse order of their lighting.

Crone and Priest/ess face the people and the Priest/ess says:

Welcome among you the Wise One, (Name). He/She is Crone!
