O Lord, listen to our prayer; let our
petition come to You, for we know that You hear us as surely as though we saw You with our own eyes. Let no notion come to
our heart, no fancy to our mind, no ruffle to our spirit, that is hurtful to us this day, or ill for our soul at the hour
of our death. May You, O Lord of Life, be at our breast and our back. Be as a star and guide to us, from our life's beginning
to our life's closing, Amen.
LEADER:
In the past God spoke to our forefathers
through the prophets at many times and in various ways, but in these last days, He has spoken to us by His Son, whom He appointed
heir of all things, and through whom He made the universe. The Son is the radiance of God's glory and the exact representation
of His being, sustaining all things by His powerful word. After He had provided purification for sins, He sat down at the
right hand of the Majesty in heaven. --- Hebrews 1:1-3
The Leader pours some wine into the Chalice and
says:
LEADER:
Abide with us, O Son of God, that
we may delight in Your presence. As we fill this cup with the fruit of the earth, fill our hearts with compassion, our homes
with generousity, and our community with harmony.
ALL:
Amen.
The Leader places his/her hands over the Chalice
and the Bread and says:
LEADER:
Bless, O Lord, this wine
and bread that we are about to receive. With Your own hand, O Lord of the Elements, consecrate it. May it be good for our
spirits and our flesh.
ALL:
Amen.
The leader will then give all in attendance a
piece of the bread. Afterwards, the chalice shall be passed to all.
